Have you ever considered how many digital pictures of yourself are floating around, never to be seen by you? With digital cameras as the norm, everyone whips out their camera for any and every photo op (myself included). The only problem is the impossibility of ever getting copies of all of those pictures.Photo by Ms2Mrs

fantastic idea! HOw cute is the sleeve it's in? And it can be mailed! Genius!
i'm doing this too! i think missjanks on the knot gave me the idea. :) i am burning the CD itself in my lightscribe printer to say "elizabeth's pictures" etc so i know who the pics are from.
I love this idea too. Last month, I finally received some wedding pictures from two years ago!
This is a super good idea! Very classy. If you got a travel hard drive (like this one that I have and LOVE http://www.hyperdrive.com/) you could just have people put their cards in and voila, there they are! Of course, if people have other pictures on their card that may complicate things...
I am going to set up a Flickr group and hope people add their photos to it, but I must admit I think these might work better... having the actual CD lying around would be a god reminder!
amy-guests will be blown away by the craftiness. I think that supplying postage would be nice as well, and make the likelihood of getting things back a lot higher.
elizabeth-I think I know someone with a lightscribe, I love the idea of personalizing the CD's as well as the envelopes.
angel-I am sure that flickr and facebook have made a huge difference in cutting back on the amount of time it takes to get pictures from people
kelli=the travel hard drive is such an excellent idea, and something my Mom probably has, but I agree that the other pictures on peoples cameras are kind of a problem. Hmmm. Maybe a laptop stations will be necessary?
