Someone just purchased my kitchen mixer on my Wishpot registry. I did not know Wishpot would email me every time someone purchases an item. I kind of like this automatic email notification system. In fact, I really really like it. No need to registry stalk if someone is going to do just provide the information at will. I will try not to create a post like this every time that happens but you must realize I am in the middle realizing a dream I have been dreaming since I was old enough to make my first batch of cookies. Who are you dream gifter? I am so in love with you right now.
My registry currently has only 25 items on it. That is not good. I think I need to beef things up a little bit. Why is unlimited internet shopping so difficult for me?

So, when you get back from your relaximoon and start baking these cookies, will you send me some? :)
My KitchenAid mixer was my first registry gift too -- we got it almost a year before the wedding!
Although I have to confess, I don't, unless I'm doing heavy duty bread baking/pizza dough/etc. I still prefer to mix by hand or hand mixer. Almost everything (cookies, cakes, etc) still tastes better that way -- people tend to overuse the stand mixer so much because they have it, and they can use it, and baked goods come out too tough. That said, I bake most of the bread we use myself (and my husband is a sandwich lover) so it still gets a significant amount of use... but cookies never taste as good as when they are hand mixed!
Congratulations!!!! It's the best gift! I love ours and use it every chance I get!
I love that color Jen!
Congrats on your mixer - I have the exact same one and it is my favourite present! (And I mean favourite - I squeed when I opened it and squealed the entire time I was setting it up. My DH can attest to this.)
Good luck with the rest of your planning! :)
I love that mixer...I hope somebody gets my mixer off of mine. I think you need to just go on your registry and start clicking and if you like it get 2!
Yeah for the mixer, and I would have loved to get email notifications about presents.
Oooo you'll love that. We have the massive big huge one. I guess for if I ever need to feed the entire ward cookies? But, I love love love love it. We used cash from the wedding and returns and bought it. Best wedding present we bought with other peoples money for ourselves ever!
I love my mixer! It's great for large batches. We're thinking Wishpot might be the way to go for registering. I'm glad to hear some feedback.
Oooh! I'm so jealous. I wish someone would buy ours, but I've lost faith that it will happen. Fortuantely we have Mr. Y's grandmother's old (and I mean old) KA mixer, but I want a shiny new one!
Yay for a Kitchen Aid! My husband thinks I'm a nerd because that is what I finally asked for for my birthday this year! We didn't register for it because we didn't do a wedding registrar, but I want one so bad! I loved having a Kitchen Aid available while I was back at home, homemade cookies, cakes, cinnamon rolls, dough, yummy! I hope all is going well and I can't wait to see more wedding ideas and pictures!
I so want one of these. This will be the first thing that I scan on to my wedding registry.
Guilty-I actually really really love the idea of an international cookie exchange :)
suite b-I am going to be doing just that after the wedding! I made sure to only register for things I really plan on getting after the wedding.
