Mixers Gone Wild

Has anyone else seen these?

Is anyone else thinking "Wow Kitchenaid, you really missed the mark when you chose to feature grape vines over Damask."

Would you pay $600 for any of these patterns? If you could design your dream Kitchenaid mixer, what would it look like?

I adore my kitchen aid, but would not pay more for those designs! They are really trying to appeal to the younger demographic!

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't care for Kitchen Aid's at all...so yeah. I'd spend my $600 on something technical :)

No, I'm completely happy sticking with my "boring" black kitchenaid mixer. Besides, I'd rather spend $600 on something else instead of replacing something I already own!

The flame one reminds me of what Alton Brown had on Good Eats (no idea if he still does though).

We actually just have a cheap hand mixer, so if anyone wanted to say just give me one I wouldn't be too picky about what it looks like.

Oh, those are hideous!! I cannot believe that those are Kitchen Aids! If I got one of those, I would paint over it! Simple people, simple.

I wouldn't pay that much...but they do look fun!

I'm with Kelli, I've never had an interest in a Kitchen Aid mixer. I know they're all the rage, but it seems like an awfully big appliance for something I wouldn't use that often. Especially at the price.

As for the designs - ewww. If you could change them, it might be fun, like skins for an iPhone. But I bet tastes will change quickly and then people will have outgrown the look of a very expensive item. Also, it seems like they're "mixing" a high end item with a chintzy fad, which seems like a bad idea.

Oh, I just love Kitchen Aid stand mixers-- my stepmom has a black one that is wonderful to use for baking.

I have to say, these are a bit ostentatious for my taste, but in the right kitchen it could work!

I actually prefer a breadmaker. Ours makes jam, cake, bread, all kinds of dough, etc. I just don't like the mess of kitchenaid mixers although if one were given to me, I would not complain!

I'm in love with my Kitchenaid and it is already the color I would custom paint it -- Colbalt Blue!
