Simply Delicious Cake

After the Hotel 1000 tasting came cake tasting time. If you didn't realize it before, cake buffet is a good idea. I don't think I realized how much I love cake until this experience. I, sadly, ended up throwing a lot of this cake away because I was attempting to finish all of these on my own as I live in a household of gluten/dairy/egg free people and I could NOT use the rule of moderation when it came to this stuff. From left to right, Chocolate White Chocolate, Strawberry White Chocolate, and Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Simply Desserts in Seattle gave me a list of flavors and I am overwhelmed by the 17 options I have to choose from. So you choose 8 options for me.

I'll list the flavors, and the top 8 choices win! Isn't this fun?
  • Chocolate White Chocolate Cake
  • Chocolate Truffle
  • Milk Chocolate Truffle
  • Chocolate Caramel Cake
  • Chocolate Raspberry Rhapsody
  • Chocolate Mint Dream
  • Chocolate Fudge Cake
  • Bittersweet Hazelnut Cake
  • Mexican Chocolate Cake
  • Strawberry White Chocolate
  • Orange Pumpkin
  • Carrot Cake
  • Lemon Blueberry Cake
  • Lemon Poppyseed
  • Lemon Coconut
  • Chocolate Velvent Torte
  • Chocolate Fudge Torte

My vote is for the Mexican Chocolate, but that's because that's what we had for our wedding cake. :)

Are you going to do a seperate dessert for your family members who can't eat gluten/dairy/etc, or are they just out of luck?

Wow, now that's a lot of cake. And I thought we had too much.

I am not a huge cake fan but I never really had a big sweet tooth so after all the cake tasting I didn't want to see any cake til the wedding.

mmmmmmmm, this was very hard for me to narrow it down to 8, but here are the finals:

# Chocolate Truffle
# Chocolate Caramel Cake
# Chocolate Raspberry Rhapsody
# Strawberry White Chocolate (i'm not a fan of white chocolate, but I bet other people are, and it does actually sound very enticing, even for me)
# Orange Pumpkin
# Carrot Cake
# Lemon Blueberry Cake
# Chocolate Fudge Torte

Mmmmm..... I love me some cake too!! And I'm right there with you on the No-Moderation bandwagon. Good for you for tossing it, I would have just shoveled into my face. ;-)

Let's see, I would go for:
Lemon Blueberry
Chocolate Caramel
Carrot Cake
Strawberry White Chocolate
Chocolate White Chocolate
Chocolate Raspberry Rhapsody
(and then a couple more that aren't really "chocolate"... but the orange pumpkin doesn't sound that great to me...)

We're having yellow cake with Pineapple filling, Strawberry cake with real strawberries, and then EITHER red velvet or chocolate hazelnut.

OOOooo! This is such a good idea. I wish we would have done this at our wedding. Although, I did just go to a reception where they had their cake that they cut, but then served a ton of pie and ice cream. It was delicious!!!!

Okay, so here's my top 8 (not sure if this is what you had in mind, but here it goes....
*Chocolate Mint Dream (my absolute fav. combo after Chocolate Peanut Butter)
*Bittersweet Hazelnut Cake
*Chocolate Raspberry Rhapsody
*Mexican Chocolate Cake (sounds nummy)
*Orange Pumpkin
*Chocolate Caramel Cake
*Chocolate White Chocolate Cake
*Carrot Cake

Ummm, so can you tell I LOVE Chocolate!
