Perfection Wasn't The Goal

How annoying is it going to be for me to say that my wedding was perfect? Stupid. I didn't want to be That Bride. I like to be different. I wanted to be able to say "It wasn't perfect, but that is okay because all that really matters is that we are married." I can't say that though because it really was a sickeningly sweet fairy tale dream full of magical rainbows and butterflies.

And yes, I am blogging on my honeymoon. At least That Husband knows what kind of girl he married right off the bat.

As soon as I can start getting non-pro photos from people I will be able to start recapping the Thursday and Friday before the wedding. And don't worry, I started a running list of things I can write about post-wedding pre-pro photos with 13 items on it. You won't have to go very long without hearing from me on a regular basis again.

I think it's more important to have a perfect honeymoon than a perfect wedding.

Or at least more fun.

Ha. Part of me is happy you're blogging on your honeymoon and part of me says just go enjoy yourself.

Now, after a perfect wedding, I hope you have a very nice (even perfect) honeymoon!

Enjoy your honeymoon!

But I disagree about a perfect wedding day... it is all relative and where it came to mean that there has to be unicorns and rainbows is unbelievably crazy to me. To me: if it was your wedding day, you were happy and fulfilled, and are now ready to move to the next stage in life together as partners how is that not perfect??

sweet t-We saw this strange unicorn fish yesterday at the aquarium right after I read your comment. I think that was a sign of wedding perfection if I have ever seen one.

guilty-As Ellie of Lucky Nest once said, writing for Weddingbee (and in my case for my personal blog) is like doing crack. On the days when I don't post and I don't have a multitude of email comments filling my inbox I go through withdrawals. I am already brainstorming ways to pass the time until the pro photos come back.

blab-How could this time spent together, relaxing and getting to know each other so intimately not be perfect?

ka1t_lyn-For me, a little bit of blogging IS enjoying myself. What can I say? It's my thing.

tara-Actually I couldn't agree more. That is what I wnated, I wanted to be able to say "There weren't all of those unrealistic expectaitons abouding and there were some bad things that happened, but we ended up married so everything worked out okay." Instead I got a perfect wedding with nothing to complain about. I can only chalk it up to the fantastic people I surrounded myself with and the insane amount of planning I did to make everything come together.
