What would you prefer as a reader? Ultimately, I am a comment addict. I can't get enough comments, as I know is the case for most who blog. If switching would mean a difference in the amount of people who take the time to comment I think I will stay with Blogger.
Since this is still a wedding blog I will leave you with a wedding photo. I am silly and so I don't want to reveal too much before I get my pro photos back and tell you the entire wedding story so I have to be selective about what photos I choose.
It's 10 am here, and I am an hour late to meet my soon-to-be husband. We met in the woods directly across from the temple for the first look and a few portraits.
The flickr account thing is a good idea. Do it. (Let me know if you don' t know what I am talking about!)

I have blogger and I like it - I am not willing to stray and maybe if your used to it you shouldn't either - it depends on what you want out of the change. If comments are what you crave stay with Blogger...just my opinion...
P.S. I like comments too!
I have to confess that since I use Blogger, and most of the blogs I read are on Blogger, and since it automatically has me logged in with all my information saved, I only tend to leave comments on blogs on Blogger, just because it is so much easier for me. I don't know if other people feel the same way.
I love blogger and have been able to format mine by googling what i'm trying to do, aka having three columns instead of the typical two and adding the "read more" option. It is a pain b/c sometimes you loose some widgets along the way and have to redo them, but i find that most everything I want to do is on blogger (and google helps make it more customizable). However, i don't discriminate and will follow you wherever you go !! :)
i have to say, of all the blogs i read, the blogger ones are my favourite compared to the wordpesss ones. i actually preper the format...
ps more pix more pix!
I use wordpress and I think it is pretty. But I'm biased, I guess. Like others, I will follow you whereever you go... Take note that there is the "OpenID" thing, so it doesn't really matter what platform you're using, people can still comment! :)
Nice picture - I'm looking forward to seeing more! :)
I am really not sure what to tell you given that I have never used wordpress.
Oh man, you are such a tease with the pics! I completely understand though, I can't wait to see the prof pics. As for blog formats, I do prefer blogger's format. To me it looks cleaner, BUT I never realized that wordpress requires an email, and that is a nice thing to have.
GL in deciding--looking forward to the newlywed blog
I personally use Blogger and like it but it doesn't matter to me what another blogger is using. I'll leave a comment either way.
I follow blogs that are hosted everywhere, icluding wordpress. As far as I can tell my boyfriend's mac often saves my info over on that site so I comment as regularly there as I do anywhere else.
There's only two things that really can discourage me from commenting on a person's blog. (1) They have oh, 86 comments and I either don't feel like scrolling to the bottom/being lost amongst a swarm of people who have already said anything I could say (kind of like the good ol' weddingbee!) or (2) I've spent an hour typing up a post with pictures and again, I have two views (minus myself of course) and one comment. That's just plain discouraging!
I like wordpress better, it looks more professional as you said. I'd follow you on over if you moved :)
I like blogger and flickr. Flickr does rock :)
Hmmm... you know, I don't really think I like one better than the other. It is nice to see the email addresses on WordPress. And you know, the thing that drives me NUTS about Blogger is when you insert a pic, it's always at the top of your post and you have to drag it down into place. Wordpress just inserts it where you have your cursor - which is nice.
But other than that??
Wherever you go, I'm sure you'll have many followers and commenters - including me!
Love the pic, by the way. Your dress and veil are really gorgeous!
That is such a cool photo!
I'll leave comments wherever you go ;)
Wordpress is easier to customize, and you can add "pages" to your website easily. I had a wordpress then switched to blogger because it was connected with my gmail account, and i like it much better.
just let us know where you go!
ps. comments are the best.
Im a blogger, but I would try to figure out wordpress if you move!
Also I love that you were an hour late to meet That Husband
I use both... :) Blogger for our work blog and wordpress for my personal blog. I have to say, I think Wordpress is easier to use in alot of ways... more customizable and such. The built in stat tracker is sweet and they just added built in polls!! Neato! I've been very happy at WP. :)
I use wordpress, and I enjoy it! I do notice that on blogger blogs (if that makes sense) when I comment (aka now) it only gives me two identities to choose, (1) google/blogger, but since I am not on blogger clicking my name doesn't take you to my blog and (2) Open ID which never works for me! And yeah, wordpress does look more professional, and there are so many great templates, all of which are very customizable!
I like the organization I have on Blogger, all in one nice dashboard page, and I like that it is linked to my Picasa pictures, an Google and all that jazz. I do tend to follow blogger much closer but its all good. I don't think you'd lose much.
Beautiful picture!
I would still comment even if you switched blogging ways.
I can't rave about wordpress enough (email me if you want to know more about why~) but honestly I love it, its easy to use and there are SO many cool things you can have as plugins. I have a lot of fun with it!
Love your veil!!
I would stick to blogger. You can ask your readers to edit their account so that you can reply directly to their comments via email! I did it and LOVE it. My comments show up in my email and I can directly reply to most of them (except the people who still have their email address hidden from the blogging world!)
Congrats on your wedding! Can't wait to hear the story :D
that [engaged] girl
hmm .. just started blogging so I have no idea what's better.
As others have said, more pics please!!
(aka Mrs X)
I also like the clean(er) look of most wordpress blogs, but when I looked into it (for my post-wed blog), I didn't really dig any of their "themes", so I would have had to pay in order to customize the stylesheet (and then pay again every year to keep it). Also, everything seemed so foreign to me that I retreated. I was scared. :(
Everything I know about HTML 'n such, I've learned by playing around with my blogger templates. I just felt like I wouldn't know where to start in order to customize a wordpress blog.
I've used Blogger, TypePad and Wordpress, and I'm a huge fan of Wordpress. I am a web designer/developer, so I'm sure I'm biased, but I love having complete and total control over every aspect of my WP blog. I find the interface for writing and managing posts and pages to be the best of the three. Comfort level is first and foremost, so if you're comfortable with Blogger, I'd be tempted to stick with it — but I found the transition to WP to be quite painless when I switched over.
